@Mario Bourque: You know what would make me happy? Wearing a button with your head on it. :)
@Flat Lesley: Why do second graders get to have all the fun? Wish I had thought of doing this. Great idea Flat Leslie!
Don't forget to fill out your post conference surveys. It is your chance to continuously improve the event.
@Tony Stubblebine: This is an event that keeps on going, and going, and going... Kudos to CrowdVine!
Also, thanks everyone for participating and helping us all gather and organize all this great information from the conference!
@Brian Sweeting: I have Josh's presenation - it'll go up on the site in the next day or so.
@Josh Damon Williams: Hey Josh, loved the presentation about interaction audits. Any chance the slides will be made publicly available?
@Eric Reiss: Eric, you're probably already on this social gaming site, but just in case: http://www.puzzlepirates.com. ARRRRRRRRRR
@Andrea Resmini: Hi Andrea,
yes, we did :-)
I hope to meet you somewhere in Italy!
Mi sembra di averti visto tra un intervento e l'altro al Summit, ma non ho fatto in tempo a fermarti...
A presto!
@Sara Stangalini: Damn.
We did manage to completely miss each other, didn't we?
Let me see: are you going to EuroIA? Or do you think we can find some less exotic place to have a chat? :)
Looking for IA Jobs in the Boston Area? A friend at Modernista! is recruiting:
@Melissa Weaver: Hi Melissa, you're doing such a great work for the IA community - you should get an IAI Oscar :) ...
@Noreen Whysel: yes, thank's very much for the great support of the IAI community !!
The first 20 slideshare decks have been embedded into the session pages including Jared's keynote, Andrew's closing plenary, Leah's "UX team of one" and Stephen's Andersons' "Inspirations from the edge" - more as they're uploaded to slideshare (search slideshare for the iasummit08 tag).
Hi all, thanks to those who attended my presentation. I'll be posting the slides next week (I'm waiting until I've done my 'redux' version for the Londoners who couldn't make it). Hopefully I'll have the podcast audio at the same time. - Miles.
I've only attended one MLA, in 2005. Have to say there wasn't much that greatly interested me from an IA/web standpoint. Lots of my colleagues go each year, though.
@Robert Vander Hart: No MLA for me this year. Is it a good conference for an IA/IxD/systems librarian (in a medical library) or is aimed more for the user services/reference librarians?
@Luke Wroblewski: Luke, you're right - I can't look at forms the same way again after your workshop. It was much easier when I wasn't aware of all the best practices and refinements that make the process of entering and interacting with information intuitive. I just don't have time to fix the myriad problems with my forms.
Thank you all for coming (and staying)! I really enjoyed all of the really creative coffee-maker designs and your thought-provoking questions.
-Greg
Thanks to everyone who came to my talk.
My slides are posted here:
http://www.slideshare.net/mmatross/bu...
@Eric Reiss: Eric, I don't have your email. I want to send you the picture I took ont he last day.
@Greg Nudelman: And another Thank you! for giving us an interactive glimpse into your processes. I heard Tufte speak before and am really glad his presentation points are making their rounds in different disciplines.
@Greg Nudelman: I totally agree with Aga, it was so fascinating to get a peek as to how your team operates. Really liked the idea of cutting and pasting bits and pieces of competitor sites... Also appreciated your warning about "The Homer". Very well said!!
@Greg Nudelman: Greg, Great workshop and discussion on lunch table! I'm inspired and will look for occasion to run participatory design session.
Thanks, Aga
@Rob Fay: I second Becca's comment. It was great discussion! Do you have any suggestion for must-to-read article about Agile?
@Jacob C. Alonzo: It cracked me up that you shared a poster and excitement about swim lanes and I often ran into you at the swim pool. :-)
@Alejo Jumat: Hi Alejo, good seeing you at the Summit. I saw you work with mapping -- thought you'd be interested in this preso I caught at the Web App Summit (Making Apps that Work for Everyone: Accessibility Beyond Compliance). Can't find the preso online, but he talked about map implementation and it was great.
@Richard Dalton: That is genious (the have/want cards questions). Always upping the ante, eh? :)
@Anita Crescenzi: Hi Anita,
Just saw that you fanned me (I'm back at work today--Tuesday). Had a good time at the Summit and hope to go again next year in Memphis. Are you going to MLA in Chicago next month?
@Kelley McDonald: Kelley,
You said you wanted to meet me, but I guess I blew it. Or we didn't bump into each other at least. Hopefully we'll see each other around DC some.
Paul
@Theresa Putkey: I'm trying to become a fan, but it only says want-to-meet! Hope you had a good flight back.
@Matthew Milan: I really enjoyed your talk the other day. It's definitely in my top 3 and it touched on some things that have been lurking in the back of my mind lately.
Ska forsoka komma till Malmo:) En anledning till att fa aka "hem".

Any IA's on StumbleUpon? I can't find you! (hint... stumbleupon can drive crazy traffic to your site - more than google - if you are smart and active.)
Find me on http://nlc-molly.stumbleupon.com
@Chris Chandler: Thanks for hosting the "Are we not Designers (we are devo)?" lunch table, it was a great discussion!
My presentation slides are now available on Slideshare at: http://www.slideshare.net/mmagoo/
The title is "Embodying IA."
@Rob Fay: Thanks, Rob. It was a good discussion at lunch. Might have inspired me to write a paper on UX+Agile in practice....
Cheers!
For those of you still trying to complete a set of trading cards, check out the two new profile questions and tag clouds "extra cards I have" and "cards I need".
@Amy Love: Wanted to know if bicycling at Miami beach is still ongoing! I'll be able to check crowdvine till 9AM and talk to you later.
@Luke Wroblewski: Luke,
I was nice to meet you today, even though it was in the valet parking area as I interrupted your phone call. Again, thanks for your inspiring work. Know that it affects the design decisions others make.
I meant to catch you during the AP happy hour, but by the time I could speak with you, I was concerned my words might have been a bit slurred :) Perhaps some chatting on Monday.
@Suki Husain: Sorry I missed you at the bar tonight (Adaptive Path hosted free drinks at the Hyatt bar). A bunch of folks were hanging out and would have loved to pick you brain more about educational technology.
@Valeska O'Leary: Pleasure to meet you too! Let's keep in touch and send me a message if you ever go to Montreal.
@Eric Reiss: Hey Eric, You not only a mighty pirate but a hell of good presenter. :) It was the best one so far!
By the way, are you going to share the presentation file somewhere?
@Vera Rhoads: Hey, really enjoyed your talk - will you be sharing your slides? I just wanted to go over some of them as it was a lot to take in at the end of the day! Thanks.
@Ben Kimmel: The group from North Carolina (and anyone interested) is planning to meet in the Hyatt lobby at 6:30 en route to South Beach. Join us if 1) you are from North Carolina, 2) you know a North Carolinian or 3) you want to know a North Carolinian.
@Leah Buley: Hi Leah,
Save one for me and I'll catch you at the AP event tonight from 10-12.
See you then!
@Valeska O'Leary: Cool! Thanks :)

@Joe Sokohl: Joe - thank you for stepping in at the last minute with your presentation to fill a cancelled slot ... I really appreciate it!
@Ben Kimmel: Ben, a couple of us from NC are planning to go to dinner tonight in South Beach - don't know where yet. Are you interested? I'll send you my mobile # via private message
Anita
@Molly Anglin: Great meeting you at the summit this year! Please stay in touch, as we may be able to use your firm at some point in Alaska.
Hey NC Folks! Want to get together for dinner/excursion on Sunday? I don't have a plan (or clue) but I'd be happy to make one.
Watch/respond in this space or give me a call if you're interested (919-475-9997)
Ben
I've gotten a few requests for the templates that I talked about in my presentation, so I've made them available on my web site at http://www.ugleah.com.
What templates do you use? I'd love to do some template trading while I'm here.
Hi Rob,
If you see me in the hall, grab me. If I've got a few left, but not many.
(By the way, are there many of you who want buttons but didn't get one? I'm wondering if it would make sense to arrange a run of buttons or t-shirts or something at Cafe Press.)
@Leah Buley: Leah, with new flex track, does that mean more buttons? I went to initial but did not meet the mad rush for buttons. Any more?
Thanks for the mad props, everyone. I'll be presenting again on Monday at 11:45am in the flex track. If you missed it the first time, please o please come!
@Jared M. Spool: I'm a HUGE fan. Super awesome presentation. I think I should work for UIE.
;-)
@Eric Reiss: It was a pleasure to finally meet you in person. You are a riot (pirate)! Now that you met me, don't be a stranger and link me to your LinkedIn.
;-)
@Iris Coldibelli: It was so great to meet you. I want to keep in touch with you and hear all about your UX efforts in Brazil. It's a good challenge to have.
@Marcio Leibovitch: Hey there,
It was a pleasure to meet you. Don't be a stranger. Keep in touch.
@Felipe Memoria: I was serious when I said I wanted a copy of your book. If you have anyone who can bring one from Brazil I'll be glad to send the money. I want to introduce you to Jeff Parks, the best IA podcast producer ever.
@Christa Houlahan: It was so great to see you. Let's plan a Keane reunion soon. I miss you guys.
@Dan Willis: Really good presentation, Dan, and thanks for your time after the session. I'll keep in touch.
@Luke Wroblewski: Thanks for a great presentation. I hope to catch your in the corridors to share a few notes.

@Amanda Jahn: I'm doing 'gaming', the repeat of Luke's content page design and then the fighter pilot chat - so I guess it will have to be lunchtime
@Stacy Surla: Stacy,
Long time, no see! I'll be around the conference yet tomorrow, but leaving tomorrow night.
Dick
@Leah Buley: Everyone I spoke to mentioned how great your presentation was - I hope there is a repeat for those of us who missed it!
@Martin Belam: My plan for tomorrow morning is Taxonomy, Testing for Ad Effectiveness, Search Patterns - otherwise look for me at lunch if you wanted to catch up for a chat! :)
@Leah Buley: Amazing job Leah! Your passion and enthusiasm was really infectious. Hands down, the most inspiring presentation I saw.
@lynn boyden: Lynn, we met last night at the reception. I have to say I LOVED THE IA SLAM!!! ARRRRGH Matey! Nothing like a little "yo ho ho and a bottle of rum" to liven up a day of testing, wireframes, and stats. Well done FatDUX!
@Leah Buley: Your presentation was great! I'm not always a UX team of one but I'm excited to take the "tricks" and "techniques" back to my team. Thank you!
@Leah Buley: Great inspirational presentation. It gives the minority folks in the SLDC process hope.
@Leah Buley: Your presentation was great. It was by far the best one I've attended today.
@Leah Buley: Leah -- your talked rocked! Thank you so much. I am definitely a UX designer of one! ROAR!
@Elizabeth Randolph: Hi Elizabeth, great to meet you over lunch today. Would love to catch up and talk about persuasive design and social justice, especially from the perspective of IA and sustainability. Cheers, Miles.
